Abstract

In November 2023, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Luwuk City was recorded at 4.59 percent with a Consumer Price Index of 121.86. The highest y-on-y inflation occurred in Tanjung Pandan City at 5.89 percent with a CPI of 120.62 and the lowest occurred in Jayapura City at 1.82 percent with a CPI of 112.99.

Luwuk city inflation was 4.59 percent which was influenced by the increase in the price index for most expenditure groups, namely: food, beverages and tobacco group (9.17 percent); recreation, sports and culture groups (4.87 percent); personal care and other services group (4.4 percent); food and beverage/restaurant provision group (4.16 percent); transportation group (2.41 percent); housing, water, electricity and household fuel group (2.74 percent); equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group (1.48 percent); and education group (0.36 percent). Meanwhile the decline in the price index occurred in the information, communication and financial services group (0.17 percent); health group (1.25 percent) and clothing and footwear group (1.59 percent).

The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate for November 2023 is -0.07 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for November 2023 is 3.74 percent.
